Congo is in crisis - and we can help
The conflict in eastern DRC has decimated the lives of so many of the communities we serve, and we are collecting funds to be able to meet needs as they arise. The emergency response will take many forms, and Amani and the team will continue to assess what those needs are. Amani is in daily communication with the Congo Peace School staff in South Kivu, as well as with trusted friends able to mobilize help in North Kivu as needed.
Over the last seven years, the Peace School has been a haven for the most vulnerable, and it will continue to provide critical resources with your help. There are immediate needs of food, clean water, medicine, and supplies. These needs are exacerbated by the fighting, which unfortunately isn’t ending soon. It will take time for a peaceful solution to be agreed upon and set in motion, and meanwhile, the most vulnerable continue to suffer.
With your support, the children who are surrounded by war have a safe place to play, to learn. They have food to eat, and are provided the knowledge and power to resist what is happening.
We will continue to assess the needs as they arise and meet them as we can, and your contribution will allow us to do that. Thank you. You are making people’s lives better in a place where they are losing hope.
PLEASE NOTE EMERGENCY or E.F. IN YOUR DONATION NOTE.
